Dom-Prov Valentine’s Day Edition – Feb. 2024

It’s Balentime’s Day, BITCHES.💘 Dom-Prov returns for a very special Balentime’s Day edition! Mistress Ivana loves to celebrate her absolute favorite holiday with our improv company and she has more sweet treats for you than a Whitman’s sampler. The holiday may be named after a saint, but nothing that happens during Dom-Prov is church-sanctioned! And don’t forget, Mistress loves receiving traditional Balentime’s cards and presents… 💕💌💕

What is Dom-Prov?

Dom-Prov is what happens when our Mistress forces our improv company to do her bidding…

Come see our improv company perform short-form improv sketches and vie for the affection of our very own Mistress who punishes and/or rewards them. Pay careful attention as the Mistress’s punishments and rewards are often very similar. Using suggestions from our audience, Dom-Prov is a fast-paced, painfully funny, improv showcase.

It’s improv. . . with a safe word.

The Punched Quest for the Magical Puffco featuring Brian Simpson, Frank Castillo and Rachel Wolfson. Presented by Punch Extracts, Raw, Puffco and Smoke.

Brian Simpson is a stand-up comedian whose background as a foster child and Marine Corps veteran has led to a rare combination of life experiences that he manages to channel into a refreshingly unique point of view. Brian is a paid regular at The Comedy Store, has been named a New Face 2021 at the prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, and recently made his TV debut on Comedy Central’s Lights Out with David Spade. You can catch him next on Season 3 of The Standups on Netflix.

Frank Castillo worked his way up to a paid regular at The Comedy Store. Frank became a staple of The Comedy Store Roast Battles, and in January of 2017, Frank became the Champion of Roast Battle II on Comedy Central. Rachel Wolfson is a Los Angeles-based stand-up comedian. Born in Las Vegas, Nevada, Rachel began her comedy career in LA in 2016 and since then has toured the country with her brand of high humor. You can see her in February 2022 in the fourth installment of the Jackass franchise Jackass Forever as a new cast member. Rachel also performs stand-up nightly so follow her on social media to catch a show.

Butter

The churning of cream transforms its components into a semi-solid emulsion that’s used to make things better. That product is called butter, so is this comedy show.

It’s not the show that is butter, but those solitary moments that are shared by everyone at the show.

This butter has silly antics, a try-hard host, and a steady showing of the funniest stand-up comics around.

The show will happen if you’re not there, but if you are, you’ll make it a lil’ bit better. See, you were the butter the whole time.

Hosted by Cam Strong

This show is on the fourth Friday of every month!

Funhouse Lounge is excited to announce auditions for its re-opening show, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the Musical”. This is a stage musical version of the movie “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” (not the TV series) .

Buffy is just a simple Valley girl without a care in the world, until a mysterious stranger tells her she is the Chosen One, and it is her destiny to stop the resurgence of the Vampires. Armed with all her wits and athleticism, will she be enough to stop the Lord of vampires from taking her city? Written by Joss Whedon, this film was one of the first “camp horror” films, combining comedic elements with horror.

Auditions will be held Saturday July 17th, from 12noon to 2 PM.
Prepare a monologue (app 1 minute), and 32 bars of a song. The musical is 80s pop/rock, so preparew a song of that genre. Bring sheet music.

If you cannot make the auditions, but are still interested, e-mail me and let me know. We might hold additional auditions. No guarantees, but we might.
